Let’s rock the vote
Tonight is going to be a huge night for Jedward as they perform for the jury vote before tomorrow’s live semi-final.
We received more votes from the Eurovision jury last year than we got through the public vote, so the guys’ performance tonight is vital.
We have two full dress rehearsals this evening so it’s going to be a really long night.
The jurors will be shown the second dress rehearsal which starts at midnight our time. lWe’re four hours ahead here so the guys will end up performing near the end of the show at around 1.30am in the morning. The rehearsal ends at 2.00am and by then Jedward will have received half of their votes. Then we start all over again tomorrow with another dress rehearsal and then the first semi-final, so fingers crossed everyone!
Water way to start the day
MTV Russia arrived at our hotel to interview Jedward yesterday morning. The guys were actually fast asleep, but when they heard there was an MTV camera crew here they couldn’t get up fast enough.
I told them to promise me they wouldn’t jump in the pool because they had rehearsals to go to immediately after. Of course, once you tell Jedward they can’t do something, then they have to do it. So two minutes later they were in the pool fully dressed.
Party in the park
The official Eurovision launch party turned out to be a complete damp squib. We were all herded onto our buses at 7.30pm and by 9.30pm we were still in the car park behind the Euroclub venue and the doors still hadn’t opened.
Azerbaijan is terrific but the time-keeping skills leave something to be desired. The car park ended up being the real party — everyone got down out of the buses and we had great craic there.

Haha, an article on the Russian Grannies giving Jedward a nickname- from Herald.ie:

EUROVISION hopefuls Jedward have been dubbed the boys with the "Viagra hair" by their biggest rivals in the competition.
They're well known for the trademark stand-on-end hairstyle and now the singing sensations, who are gearing up for their semi-final in Baku tomorrow, have become known by the Russian delegation as the duo with the "Viagra hair".
RTE presenter Marty Whelan told the Herald that he was shocked when he heard what the Buranovkiye Babushki Grannies have nicknamed our Waterline stars.
"Whatever it is in Russian, it's obviously a literal translation, I thought it was very funny when I heard it," the veteran host laughed.
The boys are well-known for their quiffs and local fans in Azerbaijan have already been spotted sporting them while camping outside the Lucan twins' hotel.
The boys have been a huge hit so far since touching down in this year's Eurovision host country and have been swarmed by fans everywhere they go.
And, according to Jedward's tour manager, they are in the "safest place in the world right now".
Despite reports of terrorist threats and lawlessness, the Dubliners are at no risk.
Manager Liam McKenna told the Herald: "It is actually the safest place in the world right now. They've brought in the army and there are plain-clothes cops everywhere.
"You cannot leave the hotel without police escort and there are metal detectors in the hotel. I've never felt safer or better looked after.
"The police shut a four-lane motorway last Tuesday night to let us walk across the road. The people have been fantastic. Baku is amazing."
The 20-year-olds are being monitored around the clock ahead of their semi-final performance tomorrow night.
"They actually couldn't be in better hands. I thought Germany couldn't be topped. But they have really outdone themselves. They have spent over $1bn on the contest," he told the Herald.

Jedward have just had their first dress rehearsal for Eurovision. Check out their outfits! These are what they wll be wearing in the competition. FLAT HAIR! Tonight is the jury final which is basically a dress rehearsal of the semi final. The jury vote on this performance as opposed to the public who vote on the televised one tomorrow. It makes up 50% of the voting so it’s very important.
